Lions Lagoon Splash Park

Brothers playing in the water
We finally got out to the Lions Lagoon Splash Park in Waterloo Park.  I've known about the place for some time but had never visited until this weekend.

The water park area was far less crowded than I expected it to be -- especially since the weather was perfect.  I wonder if the $2.50-per-person entry fee keeps some people out.

More fun than a sippy cup
Carter really seemed to enjoy the big green circular frog.  He walked through it a few times but he spent a lot of time at the side of it trying to catch the stream of water in his mouth.

Dragon!
We had brought them water bottles... but nope... a water bottle just isn't as fun.

Chase really enjoyed the big water snake. Of course, he kept calling it a dragon.

I was happy to just follow them around and take pictures (it helps that I have a weather-sealed camera and lens because it got sprayed a few times)

Time to dry off, little one
Jen and I were done after two hours as hunger began to set in.  I'm sure the kids would have stayed all day if it were up to them.

Overall, the trip was a big success and I'm sure we'll be back soon.

I'm glad that Waterloo has some great local family attractions!
